Everyone has a favorite category of music, and almost all forms of music somehow consist of percussion in some form or another. What many people do not realize is how much the drum has evolved over the centuries from more primitive uses. Some origins include communication and religious tradition, which are almost forgotten next to the massive collection of instruments that tend to be acknowledged in our modern society.
