1. Coldplay - Viva La Vida or Death and All His Friends

It may be the silliest title you have ever heard in your life, but the general consensus is that this album is a massive success! Budding bloggers have been going globally crazy by the wait, but it's been well worth it as Coldplay finally issue their follow up to 2005's successful "X & Y". "Viva La Vida or Death and All His Friends", is a pretty stable record that sees Coldplay back on full spirited indie form. Despite any previous conceptions you might have of the band, this album sounds very different from what you will be accustomed to; it's more exploratory and less stiff than their previous work. They seem to have made the move to incorporate various international sounds, as heard in the dreamy "Strawberry Swing", which has a predominantly oriental sounding guitar melody. Other tracks follow suit with African drums, Americana guitars and even the odd appearance of slightly Euro-pop melodies. The global appeal is easily spotted on this new addition to the Coldplay cannon and there is no doubt you won't be alone in liking this album!

2. My Morning Jacket - Evil Urges

Another eagerly awaited release comes in the form of My Morning Jacket's'Evil Urges'. The fiery brand of MMJ's romantic southern-rock has always made big waves across the music blogging ocean and this looks like it isn't going to be an exception. That said, "Evil Urges" proves to be a massive change in direction for the band, leaning on a more soulful platform than ever before, and in turn receiving blurred reviews and mix opinions. Personally, it easily and without doubt makes my list of "must haves" for June.

3. A Classic Education - First EP

Hotly tipped to soon break-out from the underground is A Classic Education. Their simply titled "First EP" seems to be taking the online musical community by storm with its large arrangements and big-scale chord progressions; it should come as no surprise. This is an EP that rumbles and swells with a melodious pop charm, delivering adventurous sounding songs such as the opening track "Stay Son". This is definitely an EP worth having!

4. Shearwater - Rook

Shearwater's artsy follow up to 2006's "Palo Santo" sees them rocketing to the top choice of most music bloggers this month. It's a dark album, but has all the usual familiarity of the pop and folk genres, which serves to make it stand out as a pure modern classic. Sure it's sad and a tad melancholic, but that's what makes this a killer album and a top choice across the globe.

5. Daniel Clay - The Protestant

Smooth and velvety, Daniel Clay's new album, "The Protestant", is a journey through story-like song writing and haunting vocals. It's become a major independent and left wing choice from most music sites this month, purely because Daniel gives the album a distinct troubadour or world weary wanderer feel, which when done right is always a winner!

Users are not required to subscribe or pay for the services unlike Last.fm or Rhapsody does. An added bonus Songza pays for licenses from all of the major performing-rights organizations (ASCAP, BMI, SESAC) and these companies pay the publishers and writers in proportion to the number of plays they get on Songza, so the artists are getting paid and the listener are getting to listen to free music on the web.

   Use this music sharing website to discover new artists and songs through its community of music loving listeners. Share your favorite music with others in the community and earn credit, so that you can use to get free songs of your own. Listeners can also review and recommend the music that they listen to and download music without restrictions.

   This website came highly recommended by a few of my readers that had left comments in my other two Top 10 Music Lists, so it earned its nomination.
