The country music sensation, Taylor Swift, is releasing her sophomore album “Fearless” on Nov. 11. The album will contain 13 songs, all written or co-written by Taylor. The CD's first single “Love Story” is all about romance and destiny.

"I was going through a situation like that where I could relate. I used to be in high school where you see [a boyfriend] every day. Then I was in a situation where it wasn't so easy for me, and I wrote this song because I could relate to the whole Romeo and Juliet thing. I was really inspired by that story,” Taylor tells The Los Angeles Times.

“Fearless" is available in two pre-order options. A $75 limited edition box featuring a t-shirt, leather bracelet, photo album and sticker. One lucky purchaser of this box will win a trip to see Taylor in concert as well as an autographed guitar. Also available is just the CD for $13.88.

Taylor's freshman album was a blockbuster, selling more than 3 million copies. The talented singer/songwriter can also add Guinness Book of World Record holder to her resume. Swift landed herself in the pages for being the first ever female singer to write/co-write all songs on a million-selling debut album.

Boa: Best of Asia

South Korea's musical phenomenon, BoA, born Kwon Boa on November 5, 1986, was only thirteen years old when she debuted under her Korean label, SM Entertainment. In 2002, she went on to Japan, the musical capital of Asia, to debut under Avex with her album, “Listen to my Heart.” BoA specializes in singing and hip-hop. She has won many awards throughout her career, including the Artist of the Year at KMTV Music Awards in 2003, the Most Influential Asian Artist Award at the MTV Asia Awards in 2004, and the Best Korean Artist at the World Music Awards in 2004.

On September 10, 2008, SM Entertainment held a press conference to announce that BoA would be making her U.S. debut in America with the digital release single, “Eat You Up” under SM's American branch, SM Entertainment USA. Her slogan is: “Best of Asia, Bring on America.” As of yet, she has not appeared on any television programs, but she has released a music video for her new song.

There were two versions of BoA's “Eat You Up” video: the International version, which was filmed by Cha Eun Taek and the American version, which was filmed by Diane Martel. However, due to complaints from netizens (online fans/critics) about the American version, the International one will be the official one. BoA is currently residing in Los Angeles, California while she prepares for her debut.

"Womanizer" is Britney's Latest Hit

“Womanizer” is Britney Spear's latest single off her new cd that hasn't been released yet. Her new video was aired on the 20/20 last week and it seems as though Britney is continuing onward with her usual antics. She loves to change wigs and outfits in every video and enjoys being seen as a provocative woman. She has definitely come into her own as a sexual being but is there really a need to flaunt it?

Britney Spears made a career off of flaunting her sexuality. For her, it is necessary to flaunt as much sex as possible. Therefore, for her lack of singing ability Britney needs to come up with explicit videos and raunchy songs to keep her bringing in the cash. After all, isn't that what many of her fans and non-fans look for? Sure, we have enjoyed Britney's inability to lip sync and dance at certain times so that we could make fun of her but after a while she managed to make us feel sorry for her. Now we want her to come back stronger than ever so we can see her back to her usual antics.

My prediction is that “Womanizer” will succeed on the charts. After the video aired it has managed to find its way up to the charts as high as the top 30. Her next cd may be a compilation of catchy tunes like the “Womanizer” or maybe it is thought provoking as we all tried to get into Britney's head and figure out what went wrong. Maybe “Womanizer” is about her ex-husband K Fed. Maybe it is something that went through her head one night. Who knows. What I do know is that she has come back to who she was before with this song and it is at best a catchy tune. You will find yourself singing along with it on the radio and chances are you will sound better.

Born on 7th August, 1977, Samantha Ronson is a British singer, song writer and DJ. She currently resides in Los Angeles, California. She is famous for her hip-hop genre songs.

Samantha Ronson was born in a wealthy London family. Her mother is writer-socialite Ann Dexter-Jones and her father is Laurence Ronson, a real estate entrepreneur. Her parents are of Jewish descent with ancestors from the countries Austria, Russia, and Lithuania. Samantha was raised in Conservative Judaism from her childhood.

Samantha has two siblings, one brother and one sister. Mark Ronson is a music producer and Charlotte Ronson, who is Samantha's twin, is a fashion designer. Samantha's family is related to politicians Leon Brittan and Malcolm Rifkind. Her parents were divorced and her mother married guitarist Mick Jones, a foreigner. He is a reason for Samantha's interest in music as she had a childhood surrounded by music. At the age of 16, Samantha Ranson was in a rap band called Low Lifes.

In the year 2000, Samantha Ronson performed live for MTV new year's eve in New York Times Square. In 2004, an announcement was made that Duncan Sheik was going to co-produce an album for Samantha. She distinguished herself from others by by doing the rock act for Roc-A-Fella Records. Under the label "Super", she released four songs which are "Fool", "Pull My Hair Out", "Built This Way", and "If It"s Gonna Rain'. She recorded and wrote tracks of her first album "Blue".

Samantha Ronson made some appearances on mix tapes which is produced by artists on the Roc-A-Fella label. In an interview to MTV earlier this year, she said that she has parted ways with the label and that she is concentrating more on DJing.

Red is her album which was not released. But the tracks were made available on internet to download by myspace. Her track "Built This Way" was used (featured) in the movie "Mean Girls" starring Rachel McAdams and Lindsay Lohan. She was a co-owner of New York City nightclub The Plumm, along with the actor Chris Noth and few others.

In the year 2008, media started commenting about Samantha and Lindsay Lohan's relation. They are often seen affectionate in public. Some newspapers like The Times and Los Angeles Times published articles about them and interpreted their relation as romantic.

Though she is a singer, writer, and a DJ, she is in news more for her personal life than her professional life.

John Mellencamp Tribute

Years ago, when John Mellencamp hit the music scene with his hard-hitting vocals and pure Americana Blues, Country/Rock style, few knew what to make of him. I have loved John's music since I first heard "Rain on the Scarecrow", "Jackie Brown" and "Small Town".

Every song since then has only made me like his music more.

John's music is not just for Old-Timers, John's music embodies the American dream as well as

the working class hardships. I don't know about you, but to me John Mellencamp's music helps me to survive the stresses of my days. I was told one time good music will stand up to the tests of time. John's music has definitely done that, and then some.

When I was about 14 years old, I listened to cassette tapes. I know you might think with all the technology we have now that those are "old fashioned" but to be honest I still have a cassette player. I listened to my John Mellencamp cassettes until the tapes and machines were so worn out that the player was eating the cassettes.

I still listen to John Mellencamp to this very day, as a matter of fact his CD "The Best that I Could Do" was the inspiration for this article. I think John Mellencamp has more than proved his talent as both a singer and songwriter. Anyone who has heard his music will say his talent is his Legacy. May new generations continue to enjoy the Mellencamp sound, and may true music live Forever !

The Best English Songs, Which Won Five Top Awards of the 50th Annual Grammies

Amy Winehouse has emerged as the most potential female artist when she was declared as the winner in the 50th Grammy Award. She received a total of five awards: Record of the Year, Song of the Year, Best New Artist, Best Female Pop Vocal Performance and Best Pop Vocal Album.

Amy Jade Winehouse, an English singer-songwriter, has emerged as one of the best female artist in the history of music. She was born on September 14, 1983 in the UK, but she has showed her talent in singing and writing song lyrics in her early age. Her second album "Back to Black" won her five Grammys, and it was also her first album which was successfully secured a place in the U.S. Billboard 200 album charts. When this album was released in the U.S, it has been sold for 5x platinum in the first week, and entered the seventh in the Billboard 200 album list. This album hit the U.S. market most probably due to her main song "You Know I'm No Good" which was channeled extensively via all major television networks in the U.S. Her 2007 follow-up album released on February 14, won her another award of BRIT Award. This was followed suit by her winning award of Ivor Novello Award. These awards have undoubtedly brought her a pride and fame as the best British Female Artist.

Among the new generation of female pop singers, Amy Winehouse's voice is unique. When someone listens to her songs, you will naturally think of Ella Fitzgerald, Billie Holiday and other jazz veteran like The Supremes Group in the 1960s. Her voice incorporated the taste of popular singers like Lauryn Hill and Macy Gray.

From the music point of view, a 23-year-old singer who could sing with a mature attribute is rarely encountered. Her songs of "You Know I'm No Good", "He Can Only Hold Her", "Love Is A Losing Game", and "Back To Black" are some of the songs that let your nut wondering around the beauty of the art and music. Compared to other young female artist like Joss Stone, Amy Winehouse's has obviously showed a distinction to a milestone.

Her talent in singing particularly dealing with her eclectic mix of various musical genres which include jazz, R&B and soul plus her notable signature beehive hairstyle has captured media attention apart from her fans. She portrays a good attribute as a singer with her unique appearance and an intoxicating voice. She has indeed incorporated all her feelings into her music. It seems like the music has stood lively in her world. One can feel this by listening to her songs attentively. While she is a great singer, it is indeed sad to learn that she has confirmed to have developed early signs of the symptoms which could progress to emphysema in June 2008.

Below are some of Amy Winehouse's songs, keep stay tune and enjoy!

The Top Nine Most Awesome English Songs of All Time

The pace of life in town and city today, has been characterized as rush, rush, and more rush to do more and more things in as short a time as possible, undeniably this situation has caused us not being able to enjoy life fully. Here, songs play a vital role to comfort the vulnerable spirit, conflict and turmoil in everybody's heart.

Good songs not only entertain to hear, but also a good therapy to relieve stress and agony of life. Nowadays, songs have a role to play in almost every sphere of human activity. What better thing than good songs do we have to sit down and reminisce on once in a while? Indeed, the songs are there every day for us to behold and all we have to do is to listen attentively.

Yesterday Once More - The Carpenters

Yesterday Once More: Memories of the Carpenters and Their Music is one of my top favorite songs. It was written by Richard Carpenter and John Bettis which turned out to be a hit song from an album of Now & Then. The lyrics left you a marvelous memory of being young. All ages from the young till the old like to listen to this song. I highly recommend this song for an English beginner learner as its English lyric is easily to understand. Additionally, it has a very beautiful rhythm which shows the beauty of art. You can listen to the song of Yesterday Once More here.

When I was young
Id listened to the radio
Waitin for my favorite songs
Waiting they played I'd sing along
It made me smile

Those were such happy times
And not so long ago
How I wondered where theyd gone
But theyre back again
Just like a long lost friend
All the songs I loved so well

(*) every sha-la-la-la
Every wo-wo-wo
Still shines
Every shing-a-ling-a-ling
That theyre starting to sings
So fine

When they get to the part
Where hes breakin her heart
It can really make me cry
Just like before
Its yesterday once more

Lookin back on how it was
In years gone by
And the good times that I had
Makes today seem rather sad
So much has changed

It was songs of love that
I would sing to then
And Id memorize each word
Those old melodies

Still sound so good to me
As they melt the years away

Repeat (*)

All my best memories
Come back clearly to me
Some can even make me cry
Just like before
Its yesterday once more

Right Here Waiting - Richard Marx

“Right Here Waiting” is my favorite English song, too. It is a ballad recorded by Richard Marx which hit number one on the Billboard Hot 100, and number two in the UK. It was also placed as the top of Billboard's Hot Adult Contemporary Recurrents chart from 2000 to 2003. Indeed, I prefer to keep my ears to listen to this song over and over during my pastime to entertain myself. I believe that this is the most enduring song after its release for so many years ago. You can listen to this song here.

Oceans apart day after day
And I slowly go insane
I hear your voice on the line
But it doesnt stop the pain

If I see you next to never
How can we say forever

Wherever you go
Whatever you do
I will be right here waiting for you
Whatever it takes
Or how my heart breaks
I will be right here waiting for you

I took for granted, all the times
That I thought would last somehow
I hear the laughter, I taste the tears
But I can't get near you now

Oh, can't you see it baby
You've got me going crazy

Repeat chorus

I wonder how we can survive
This romance
But in the end if I'm with you
I'll take the chance

Oh, can't you see it baby
You've got me going crazy

Repeat chorus

My Heart Will Go On - Celine Dion

“My Heart Will Go On” is the theme song of Titanic film screened in 1997 with its lyric by Will Jennings, music by James Horner and it was originally released on Céline Dion album Let's Talk About Love in 1997. This song has emerged as the number one hit song all over the world. It was recorded that My Heart Will Go On has been ranked as the fourteen most successful songs in music history in March, 2007 by the United World Chart. Nothing on earth can beat the love between Jack and Ross even the life was near to the death. It is such a powerful love song I have ever listened in my lifetime. You can listen to this song here.

Every night in my dreams
I see you, I feel you
That is how I know you go on
Far across the distance and spaces between us
You have come to show you go on

Near far wherever you are
I believe that the heart does go on
Once more you open the door
And you're here in my heart
And my heart will go on and on

Love can touch us one time and last for a lifetime
And never let go till we're gone
Love was when I loved you
One true time I hold you
In my life we'll always go on

Near far wherever you are
I believe that the heart does go on
Once more you open the door
And you're here in my heart
And my heart will go on and on

You're here, there's nothing I fear
And I know that my heart will go on
We'll stay forever this way
You are safe in my heart
And my heart will go on and on

Our dreams are young
And we both know they'll take us
Where we want to go

(Chorus 1)
Hold me now
Touch me now
I don't want to live without you

(Chorus 2)
Nothing's gonna change my love for you
You ought know by now how much I love you
One thing you can be sure of
I'll never ask for more than your love

(Chorus 3)
Nothing's gonna change my love for you
You ought know by now how much I love you
The world may change my whole life through
But nothing's gonna change my love for you

If the road ahead is not so easy,
Our love will lead the way for us
Like a guiding star
I'll be there for you if you should need me
You don't have to change a thing
I love you just the way you are
So come with me and share the view
I'll help you see forever too

And I will always love you..
I will always love you..

Bittersweet memories..
That's all I have and
All I'm taking with me..
So goodbye, please don't cry..
Cause we both know that
I'm not what you need...

But I will always love you..
I will always love you..

And I hope life will treat you kind..
And I hope that you have
All you ever dreamed of..
Oh, I do wish you joy..
And I wish you happiness..
But above all this, I wish you love..
I love you..
I will always love you...

The Sound of Silence - Simona & Garfunkel

“The Sound of Silence” is a song written by Paul Simon in 1963. The lyric reflects an emotional trauma that can be felt by anyone who listens to this song. It was originally recorded as an acoustic guitar piece on the first album of Simon and Garfunkel, Wednesday Morning, 3 A.M. Later, in 1966, this song was included in the album of Sounds of Silence. This song has been used in the films of Bobby and The Graduate. You can listen to this song here.

Hello darkness, my old friend
I've come to talk with you again
Because a vision softly creeping
Left its seeds while I wa-as sleeping
And the vision that was planted
In my brain, still remai-ains
Within the sound of silence
In restless dreams I walked alone
Narrow streets of cobblestone
'Neath the halo of a street lamp
I turned my collar to the cold and damp
When my eyes were stabbed by the flash
Of a neon light, that split the ni-ight
And touched the sound of silence

And in the naked light I saw
Ten thousand people, maybe more
People talking without speaking
People hearing without listening
People writing songs tha-at voices
Never share, and no one dare-are
Disturb the sound of silence

Fools said I, you do not know
Silence like the cancer grows
Hear my words that I might teach you
Take my arms that I might reach you
But my words like silent raindrops fell
And echoed in the wells of silence

And the people bowed and prayed
To the neon god they made
And the sign flashed out its warning
In the words that it was forming
And the sign said The words of the prophet
Are written on the subway walls
And tenement halls
And whispered in the sounds of silence

Well, I can't forget this evening
And your face when you were leaving
But I guess that's just the way the story goes
You always smile, but in your eyes your sorrow shows
Yes, it shows

Well, I can't forget tomorrow
When I think of all my sorrow
I had you there, but then I let you go
And now it's only fair that I should let you know
What you should know

CHORUS:
I can't live, if living is without you
I can't live, I can't give anymore
I can't live, if living is without you
I can't live, I can't give anymore

Well, I can't forget this evening
And your face when you were leaving
But I guess that's just the way the story goes
You always smile, but in your eyes your sorrow shows
Yes, it shows

CHORUS 3 times

I can't live, if living is without you.

No New Year's day to celebrate
No chocolate covered candy hearts to give away
No first of spring
No song to sing
In fact here's just another ordinary day

No April rain
No flowers bloom
No wedding Saturday within the month of June
But what it is, is something true
Made up of these three words that I must say to you

I just called to say I love you
I just called to say how much I care
I just called to say I love you
And I mean it from the bottom of my heart

No summer's high
No warm July
No harvest moon to light one tender August night
No autumn breeze
No falling leaves
Not even time for birds to fly to southern skies

No Libra sun
No Halloween
No giving thanks to all the Christmas joy you bring
But what it is, though old so new
To fill your heart like no three words could ever do

I just called to say I love you
I just called to say how much I care
I just called to say I love you
And I mean it from the bottom of my heart

I just called to say I love you
I just called to say how much I care, I do
I just called to say I love you
And I mean it from the bottom of my heart
Of my heart,
...... of my heart

Scarlett Johansson

As a child, her ambition was to appear in musicals, but the deep timbre of her voice was a significant disadvantage, so she reoriented herself to acting. Nevertheless, the dream of making music never faded. Even after becoming a successful actress, Johansson flirted with singing. In 2006, she contributed to a non-profit collection of vocal performances by Hollywood actors with “Summertime”, and sang (for about one minute) with freshly re-united Jesus and Mary Chain at last year's Coachella. Neither of the attempts bought Johansson credit as a singer, the understanding being that they weren't really meant to. Then the news came that she's recording a tribute to none other than Tom Waits, with a top notch band, too (TV on the Radio's David Sitek and David Bowie, among others), and because of the sheer boldness of the project, this time Johansson won't get away with just benign neglect.

Her singing is mostly mediocre. We already knew Johansson wasn't endowed with a great voice, but fortunately singing isn't just about that (see Marilyn Monroe, for example), so she still had a chance. The least that can be expected from a singing actress is expression, which makes the bleakness of the interpretation even more disappointing. She does alternate between a forceful attack (on “Anywhere I lay my head” and “Falling down”) and a softer take (on “Town with no cheer” and “I wish I was in New Orleans”), but these variations don't go beyond the general tone of the song. Sometimes Johansson's inert manner fits the song well (as in “Song for Jo”, the only original on the album), but that seems to be a fluke. On “I don't wanna grow up” she's apparently going for a playful mood, but it only sounds flat. Part of the fault lies in David Sitek's choice of production: on tracks like “Falling down” Johansson's voice is distant and almost sterilized.

See, for comparison, Scarlett's live studio performance of this song on Yahoo music. Still, the rest of Sitek's input is very interesting, to say the least. He brings in the best elements of TV on the Radio's hallmark: a fullness of sound and a sense of spaciousness in the music. If Johansson's attempts at re-interpretation fail, Sitek's vision is what makes this album worthwhile. “Anywhere I lay my head” is the gem of the record, with its majestic coda (it is also Johansson's best vocal performance). “I wish I was in New Orleans” becomes a dreamy music box tune, “I don't wanna grow up” is a bright, energetic drum-machine song, and “Green grass” is a beautiful reenactment of dark cabaret atmosphere with post-rock decorations. This would have made an excellent album if only it was Sitek's own project and he could have made the calls concerning who gets to sing.

Pink Delivers More Great Music

When I was on vacation in England I was able to see a concert of her on television. This is when I became a fan. I didn't realize how great of a singer she was and I didn't realize how good her songs were either. In England and all over Europe Pink is much more appreciated than she is in the states.

Pink released her fourth album "I'm Not Dead" on April 4, 2006. She released "Stupid Girls" which debuted at number 24 on the Billboard Top 100. This was the highest debut for Pink in her entire career. The song reached higher in Australia, England, and New Zealand. Eventually "Stupid Girls" reached as high as number 13 on the Top 100 making this her 8th top 20 hit. It remained in the top 100 for 16 weeks.

"Who Knew" was the second release which didn't fair well here. The third release "U + UR Hand" became so popular that "Who Knew" ended up being re-released only in America. In Europe and elsewhere it was very successful reaching into the top 10. "U + UR Hand" kind of leaped onto the airwaves as people requested to hear it again and again. It went to number 9 on the Top 100. "Who Knew" followed the success after its re-release it reached number 9 on the Top 100 as well. It became Pink's 8th top 10 hit.

"Who Knew" is actually one of my favorite tracks off the album. It is beautifully written and I love the sentiment. It is Pink's ode to those who have passed on without being able to appreciate them enough while they were here.

"Nobody Knows," "Leave Me Alone (I'm Lonely)," and "Dear Mr. President" were released soon after with limited success here in the States while they received a great response in Europe, Australia, and New Zealand again.

"Leave Me Alone (I'm Lonely)" is the 6st release from the "I'm Not Dead" album. It is also a great track that is more pop oriented. I'm surprised it didn't do as well in America. The video is a live version and is fun to watch. There's a lot of dancing and acrobatics going on that keeps your attention.

"Dear Mr. President" is a serious and very expressive song from the heart that can really make you cry. The lyrics are amazing and they make you think. Here are some as an example:

"Dear Mr. President, come take a walk with me
Let's pretend we're just two people and you're not better than me
I'd like to ask you some questions if we can speak honestly"
What do you feel when you look in the mirror
Are you proud?"

My favorite words are these:

"How do you sleep while the rest of us cry
How do you dream when a mother has no chance to say goodbye
How do you walk with your head held high
Can you even look me in the eye
And tell me why"

"I'm Not Dead" is an amazing compilation of songs. They are true to who Pink is and what she feels. She brings her message across in everything she sings and it is a pleasure to listen to them.
