Top Five Songs That Make You Wanna Dance

We all know them, the songs that regardless of where you are, or who you're with, force you to get up and shake what your mama gave you. Shower, car, street, or safe in your own home. They're unstoppable.

Pretty Fly [for a white guy] - The Offspring

Pretty Fly [For a white guy] was a song released by The Offspring on their album Americana. It's got a crazy funky beat that makes you thrust and jump all over the place regardless of social norms. It follows the story of a wannabe wigger through his daily life as he conforms to be cool among the gangs of his town. And fails horrible.
But, as all the girlies say, he's pretty fly for a white guy.

Never Give You Up - Rick Astley

Something about the socially taboo Rick Roll song makes you just have to get up and lip sync, and let's face it, who can lip sync without dancing? The music video was published in 1987 and became an Internet meme in the form of a switch-and-bait, immediately rising to fandom. A very short list of people who have been Rick Rolled: The WWE President.
But don't worry, we're never gonna give you up, never gonna let you down...

Staying Alive - Bee Gees

It was released as a single in 1977 but is most recognizable as the opening song in the disco flick Saturday Night Fever. It's a disco song, but come on, even disco had to have ONE good one. Besides, that little arm roll, point at the ceiling thing? This song was MADE for it.

I Like to Move it - Reel 2 Reel

Long before Madagascar renewed it's fame, it was a song that you just had to get up and 'move it' to. It's essentially the same five words repeated over and over again to a crazy beat, but it does the job plenty well. It was originally published in 1994 and appeared on the Billboard Hot 100 charts.

Baby Got Back [I like Big Butts] - Sir Mixalot

Who doesn't love this song? It's sexist, it's rude, it's sexual, but damn if it isn't fun to hop around and shake your butt to. When this song comes on, everyone gets up to dance and shake. It was published in 1992, and rose to number 1 on the Billboard hot 100 chart for five weeks. It starts off, famously, with the conversation between two preppy girls remarking on the size of poor Becky's butt. But hey, baby got back.
