Ok I'm not going to reveal my race per se, and it would be hard to tell based on my music preferences because I do love all genres of music. I don't lean to any particular one. But I did got teased in high school a lot because of it, never the less, though some may disagree with me, I have following my favorite ten bands from 1970 -1999.
Earth, Wind, and Fire
Say what you like, these guys were way ahead of their time and still are. Maurice, Phillip and the crew had a unique style all their own. From the fabulous horns, groovy bass lines, the fantasy infused tunes, to the smooth urban ballads; this band set the stage and a benchmark for many to follow. There is not one person who will admit truthfully when you hear Fantasy; it takes you on a ride in the clouds, like you have no responsibilities.
Chicago
Peter Cetera and the crew were just magical. Being a lover of just about every genre of music, I developed an affinity for Chicago. That unique style and harmonizing caught my ears the minute I heard them for the first time. Loved those guitar riffs. The Doobie Brothers
I love Mike Mac's signature voice that forces you to listen, enough said, but hey there are no limits to what a fool would believe. The Human League.
I was drawn to this bang by one song and it's not Fascination, it was I'm only human. This song is one of my all time favorite, so it's only fitting they earn a spot.New Edition
Ronnie, Bobby, Ricky, and Mike, sing that song Ralph. These guys were just there in every way you could imagine pertaining to R&B. Funky, gritty jams, ballads you can lose yourself in, they were edgy as they had all the bases covered for the tenure they were atop the charts.
Rounding out the bottom six are:
- Aerosmith
- The Ohio Players
- The Bee Gees
- The Spinners
- Boys 2 Men
