In week four of my music reviews I want to recognize Don Henley, He came to fame in the 1970's as lead singer of The Eagles, best known for hits such as Hotel California,Long Road Out of Eden, and Desperado. Henley began his solo career after the Eagles split and is still as talented at sixty-something as he was 30 years ago. One of my favorite songs from Don Henley is "For My Wedding".
When I first heard this song it touched my soul. Another song from Don Henley is "The Heart of the Matter" Which he performed in 1994 with the reunited Eagles on their first tour together in 14 years. According to Henley it was one of his favorites and "took 42 years to write and about four minutes to sing" Some songs take a lifetime to come together, but in the end if they touch the heart that is what matters.
Also I'd like to recognize a talented artist by the name of Carrie Underwood. In a world where most times music is "prepackaged for best resale" Carrie is a rarity, why? because her music is genuine and when she sings you feel it to your soul.
Many in the industry get big and then they all too often sell out, these reviews however will only be used to recognize those that stay true to quality and the heart of the music.
On that note, there are two songs from Carrie Underwood that are just amazing. One is
"Jesus Take The Wheel"
Last but not least I want to recognize a band called Emerson Drive who touched my soul with this "Moments".
I hope you all enjoyed this weeks reviews, as you know there is much more to come.
Thank you all and God Bless.
