The The Eagles Comeback Tour 2008 will kickoff in the wonderful country of Germany, called Deutschland by the locals. Germany has a rather large population of 82,369,548 inhabitants. In the bustling city of Munich, the Allianz Stadium will provide a major venue for the band's first concert on the tour. This stadium is a hallmark of northern Germany as it is a major soccer, or football, stadium for Munich's two teams as well as the site for the 2006 FIFA World Cup. The Stadium can hold up to 69.901. The major religions here are Protestant and Roman Catholic with 34% of the population each. With 66% of the population in the target range, 15-64 years of age, and no major diseases or environmental issues, Germany, and Munich in particular, serve as a great place to start a concert tour.
To continue, the next stop on the tour will be the quaint country of Belarus. Belarus, a country slightly smaller than the state of Kansas, is situated in Eastern Europe, East of Poland. The prominent religion here, in Belarus, is Eastern Orthodox. In the city of Minsk, the second step of the tour would take place. The Victory Square in Minsk would set the ultimate backdrop for this event. Set at night, the concert would be lit up by the neon lights hanging from above all across the square. Belarus, with a population of 9,685,768 and 70.9% of that population being in the target age group, is an excellent location for the second leg of the tour.
In addition, the third part of the tour will be in Zambia. Zambia, a country in Southern Africa, east of Angola, is slightly larger than Texas. The Major Religion here is Christianity at a whopping 50-75%. With a population of 11,669,534 and 52.3% of that population in the target age group, Zambia definitely has the population to support a concert in its Independence Stadium. Independence Stadium is situated in Lusaka, Zambia. Soon to be replaced by New Lusaka Stadium, this is an adequate venue for the third stop of this tour, despite a high HIV/AIDS level as of date.
Moving on to the fourth stop on the tour, we arrive in Burma, A.K.A Myanmar. Burma has a population of 47,758,181, with 68.9% of the population fitting into the appropriate age group. The major religion here is Buddhist with a dominating 89% hold over Christianity which has a measly 4% following. The literacy rate for this country is fairly high, around 89.9%. For this concert, I would recommend a beach front venue, or on the beach venue! This would get the most out of being in a tropical country on the coast of the beautiful Indian Ocean. And with a 1930 kilometer coastline, there is plenty of room for everyone!
The next stop on the tour is the wonderful island of Kiribati. Kiribati is an island nation consisting of many different islands, also known as an archipelago. A population of 110,356 lays claim to the island wherein 58.7% of that population is in the target age group. The major religion here is Roman Catholic with 52% of the population while Protestant is a close second with 40% of the population. Situated in the Pacific, a few hundred miles south of Hawaii, also known as Hawai'i, it makes for a wonderfully relaxing, and enjoyable, concert venue The Ambo Lagoon Club would serve as the scene of stop number 5 on this world tour. The Lagoon Club at Ambo is situated on a beautiful beach on South Tarawa, where swimming is possible at all times, except during the lowest tide. The availability of swimming during a concert is one that is sure to draw inhabitants from all over.
And finally, stop number 6, the Grand Finale in Santiago, Chile! Chile is located in the continent of South America and borders Argentina, Bolivia, Peru, and the Pacific Ocean. This country is slightly smaller than twice the size of Montana. The population of Chile is 16,454,143 with 67.6% of the population falling into the target age group. Major religions of Chile include Roman Catholic with 70% of the population and Evangelical with 15.1% of the population. The final part of the tour will take place in Forestal Park, in the middle of the capital of Chile, Santiago. This park sets the scene as an easy to get to area in the heart of the most prosperous city in Chile. This "last hurrah" will be sure to attract a large paying audience.
