There’s also harder types of rock and sometimes people even scream this may be considered Metal or Hard rock. Rock Music is different from every other style of music. In other styles like rap you’re rhyming and in R&B you’re usually singing about love or a lost relationship.
The first record of Rock music was released in 1951. The album was Ike Turner’s Rocket 88. Rock started quickly with hits from Bill Haley and the comets in 1952 and Elvis Presley in 1953. By 1956 people branched off of rock music making there own style of rock. The first people to do this were the White rockers who made Rock/Hillbilly also called Rockabilly. Screaming Jay Hawkins also introduced Voodoo into his rock music with the song I put a spell on you.
In the 80’s new rock bands Emerged like The Rolling Stones, ACDC, The Clash, and U2. These bands were the best of the 80’s and are still popular today. Some of these bands are still together producing music. This rock in the 80’s was what set the bar for the next generation of music. Although these bands are the same some like U2,The Rolling Stones, and ACDC have adapted there music in a second or third album.
In the 90’s and up to now Music has once again adapted. There is still the same types of music as before but now there is Metal which is a harder rock and Rap is also big right now. Rock is still popular though with bands like U2, Green Day, and The Red Hot Chili Peppers. These Rock bands are still the most Popular music but there’s more types of Rock and other music. Over the years rock has began and changed but it is still very popular today.
Rock Music has passed the test of time, staying popular for over 55 Years. Rock started out as just Rock n Roll then adapted into different types of rock like the ones we see today. The bands who make the Rock Music have different styles which makes different types of music. Rock will always be popular because of its ability to adapt. In the future Rock will once again adapt to stay popular.
