SOAD or “system of a down” has been the best alternative rock band in the last decade.

For those who don't know the band, SOAD consists of John Dolmayan the drummer, Shavao Odadjian the bassist, Daron Malkian the guitarist also the composer and songwriter and finally Serj Tankian the lead vocal and the keyboardist. Of course he writes and composes songs too.
