She began her incredible chart-topping career in 1983 with a self-titled album, "Madonna". She had numerous Top 10 hits with her next three albums that lasted throughout the decade.
By the 90's Madonna pushed the limits of her sexuality with "Erotica," her fourth album. As always, she remained in the headlines causing controversy as she continued to push the boundaries with a book entitled "Sex". Madonna's seventh album, "Ray of Light" received critical acclaim and finished out the decade.
By 2000 Madonna personified what a music genius was. She has remained successful throughout two decades and continues reinvent herself and her music. She always puts on the best shows and never lets her fans down. Since 2000 she has released three albums, "Music," "American Life," and "Confessions on a Dance Floor."
Madonna has teamed up with Britney Spears on "Me Against the Music" and now has teamed up with Britney's ex Justin Timberlake. For some reason Madonna may have thought this would be a good move especially since Timbaland has teamed up with them. Timbaland has managed to develop an image of apparent greatness. He has worked with Timberlake on his second solo album "FutureSex" which managed to deliver a few hit songs. Madonna doesn't need to team up with these two in order to continue her success. She is one of the true great artists of our time and can deliver great music without their help.
"4 Minutes" is the collaboration between Madonna and Timberlake (with a little help from Timbaland). "4 Minutes" can be better. I don't like the beginning where Timbaland decides it is necessary to add in his two scents with his rapping session. We could have done without it. When Madonna and Timberlake sing it is actually a fun song despite the fact that it is about having only four minutes to save the world. The video can be better as well. When the camera focuses on Madonna and Timberlake together as they dance it is entertaining to watch, but all of the other weird stuff thrown in there along with Timbaland putting his face on camera can be disrupting.
