Eminem: Because It Feels So Empty Without Me

Eminem’s rumored plans for the coming year.

One of music's biggest selling artists of all time is set to make his come back on June 27th, at London's Hyde Park for Nelson Mandela's 80th birthday celebration. Its rumored event organizer, Queens Brian May, approached Eminem's management in the “off chance” he would perform. Other headliners are said to be Queen, Razorlight, Annie Lennox, Sugababes and Leona Lewis.

Eminem is also said to be releasing his memoirs this year, in a book entitled “Eminem - The Way I Am”. A release date of October 16th has been denied by the stars reps, but the book does look certain to come. The book should be a treat for fans as it is set to include Journal Notes, Unseen photos, and hand drawn art.

This could also coincide with a long awaited fifth studio album, unconvincing speculation on the web has labeled the work in progress “King Mathers”, but credible information on the most anticipated album of the year is scarce. The album was all but confirmed as far back as last September, when Eminem rang into a 50 cent interview on American radio station Hot 97 and had this to say,

“"I'm always working - I'm always in the studio. It feels good right now, the energy of the label. For a while, I didn't want to go back to the studio... I went through some personal things. I'm coming out of those personal things [and] it feels good."

Speculation has grew over when the album will hit shelves and what in will contain, with stars such as Dr.Dre and 50 Cent, seemingly backing up the claim that there will be a new solo Shady album, the rumors and whispers will certainly continue.

After reports of weight gain ,trips to hospital and prescription drug problems, Eminem could be ready to silence his critics, by showing he's still one of the music industry biggest stars. Without any of these things confirmed yet though, it hangs in the balance as to how 2008 will play out for Em', and fans may have to wait a little longer to see him return.
